ITB Computing Student wins scholarship to Unite 2017 games conference

Congratulations to Catherine Phoenix (Year 2 computing) who has just won a scholarship to attend the Unite 2017 games conference. Catherine entered the computer game from her Interactive Multimedia module for a European competition. Her game was an interactive, multi-level 2D-platform game using hand-drawn graphics. Catherine’s project was supervised by Dr. Matt Smith.

Wooga is a German mobile games company, and their competition was for female computing and engineering students across all of Europe. Catherine was selected as one of the 5 women to be awarded a scholarship that will fund them to travel to and attend the UNITE Europe 2017 Unity computer games conference in June.
